You learn about reading sheet music, timing, technique, body positioning, essential beats; all the things that make me appreciate formal instruction vs just trying to learn on my own. He takes student feedback seriously, always looking to improve his teaching style and lessons. He is a forgiving, low pressure instructor that wants you to continue to enjoy the instrument regardless of how much time you were able to practice that week. “Victor is awesome!!! The best drum teacher ever. I have already learned so much in just a month's time. I took drum lessons when I was 13 (about 15 years ago now) and that drum teacher basically sucked. I'm now 28 and just got back into drums and he has taught me so much my other drum teacher did not. I didn't know how to count, I didn't know how to hold drums sticks or how you should hit the bass pedal. All the basics and necessities you need to know Victor teaches you. He's also super responsive and helped find a good electronic drum set for my tiny apartment. He also truly believes in his students.
